Who We Are

What We Do

How to Get Involved

The University of Cincinnati Field Center promotes environmental research, education and outreach.

We demonstrate principles of ecological restoration, measure biodiversity and inspire the imagination.

Established in 2008, we occupy the south Shaker farm in Miami Whitewater forest,  just 20 miles northwest of UC's main Campus.

We believe in education beyond the classroom through physical, intellectual and emotional engagement and exploration of the environment.

We are excited to welcome all visitors to the Field Center. Whether you are a weekend hiker, researcher, teacher, student, or family looking to explore nature. We look forward to sharing this special place with you.

Do you love the outdoors and has a passion for nature? Come to one of our free events! or use us for your next group gathering.

Are you a student at the University of Cincinnati? Take a course or start your next research project with us!

Are you a K-12 school teacher? Bring your class here for a field trip to give them a unique opportunity to experience nature in action.
